In the following section I will do my best to outline, in general, the phases of Project Torlan's overall plan for the development of HaloUT.

PHASE 1: Convert Everything

Phase One of HaloUT's development will consist of converting every peice of content that we plan to include from Halo into a format usable in UnrealED. This includes Maps, Models, Vehicles, Characters, Sounds, and anything else from Halo that is not currently in a format that we can edit with UnrealED. Once everything in its first playable revision, and the maps are ready to begin being populated, we will proceed to Phase Two. However, the two phases might overlap slightly as some things will be ready before others.

PHASE 2: Play-Test and Revise

Phase Two is when we begin to play test all of our converted content and revise it. This means we will tweak the individual components so they function more smoothly in actual gameplay, and determine any adjustments or improvements that need to be made. In this stage, the testers will be working very closely with the developers to iron out bugs, glitches, inconsistencies, and get the individual components in a revision that's ready to be integrated into the mod as a whole.

PHASE 3: Integration Into Beta

In Phase Three we will finally begin the integration of all of the individual components into a one, coherent mod. The interface will be designed and implemented, the gametypes will be created and refined, and we will get to the point where we can construct a stable First Beta. We will then vigorously play-test this beta in Instant Action and online, and get feedback from the beta testers regarding any bugs that need to be fixed or corrections that need to be made. We will then work on refining HaloUT into Beta 2, Beta 3, and so on until we have something that is ready for general release.

PHASE 4: Release HaloUT Version 1.0

Before November 9th, our goal is to release version 1.0 of HaloUT. After it is released, we will analyze the response from the general community, and begin work on the 1.1 patch if necessary. We will continue to provide support for the mod and patch it until HaloUT is in near-perfect form.

Halo 2 PC: Beyond Phase Four

Though it is still very far out, the time period after the release of HaloUT and its subsequent patches is when we all hope to be playing a LOT of Halo 2. But beyond just playing Halo 2, we will also begin the planning and evaluation phase of the next big Project Torlan endeavor: bringing the phenominal Halo 2 to the PC. This is incredibly ambitious, as it will likely require the participation of the first Halo 2 Xbox Modders for extracting Halo 2's content. And we have no idea if it will even be possible. But rest assured, if it can be done, we will do our best to get it done.
